This morning we woke up to lightening, thunder and tons of rain! South Texas needs this rain desperately. My son and I jumped in the car so I could run to the office to pick up the last bit of a project that I am working on (yes, a REALTORS job is never done).
This is what we ran into!
p.s. No we didn't cross like some stupid guy that risked the Fire Departments' Crew and truck at another crossing that we passed!
Standing so close to something so powerful was interesting. You could hear the rush of the water flowing over the road and into the "DRY" creek. Watch out for mother nature!

Ha....thanks for the Sunday evening smile. Glad everyone is safe!
Sheila - ok, that does not look so dry! Glad you didn't risk it! ~Rita
The irony of nature. Perhaps I can steer some of our Autumn rain your way so you don't go dry again - just not so much.
Great picture made me laugh. Although a bit a guilt afterwards. Hope everyone's safe.
I see Dry Comal Creek is no longer a dry creek. Thanks goodness for the wonderful rains we have had recentlly.
A lot of water in that dry creek. I wouldn't even think of crossing an area like that.
Sheila - I always want to give people that sign that says "Im Stupid" after seeing them attempt to cross a bridge that is clearly not drivable. What are they thinking?? Glad to see you are much wiser than that. Crazy what happens when a lot of rain falls at once.
WOW!!! See what happens when I leave town for a few days! That is amazing!
What an ironic photo of Dry Comal Creek, Sheila! Great shot.
That's pretty dangerous. I wouldn't risk my life for that..
