3 Million river fans will show up to New Braunfels, Texas ~ Memorial weekend thru Labor Day ~ Oh, Gosh!
It's here. The weekend that everyone has talked about for months. Memorial Weekend. AND THEY ARE COMING! Tubers, campers, hanger-outers, concert fans, drinking crews, floating crazies and the rest of us, residents!
They come every year. We know to expect them. They drive like mad to get to the river and then they take it easy. They are everywhere looking like they slept under the nearest tree cause, um, they did.
It does get a little crazy, there are a lot of parties, beer bongs and tons of floaters! They are either floating down the Guadalupe River or the Comal River. This town is so lucky cause we have 2 Rivers! WOW!
They do pump like 400 million into our community also, so we glady accept them!
Come, have fun and remember what your Mother always told you, "clean up after yourself".

Sheila, that is a huge number of people for the two rivers, and I didn't know that. I hope the water levels are all right as I know there has been much of a drought going on.....
Sheila: I believe they have already begun to come. Headed up through New Braunfels today after my inspection and headed back to Canyon Lake there was RV and boats headed every-whicy-way. Just this evening we have seen folks coming in pulling boats. I'm sure Canyon Lake just like New Braunfels will have lots of folks visiting for the Memorial Day weekend. With these hot sunny days the rivers and lake will have lots of folks trying to stay cool.
