I was hoping that all of my fabulous AR compadres would help me give a warm welcome to Newbie, Cheryl Fairbanks of Inspiring Success. Cheryl is a very effective coach for Top Realtors in Texas (and Ireland). She has great ideas, a solution to almost every problem opportunity and is a mentor to many.
Brian Tracy's great book, Eat That Frog, is a 117 page rapid read that will set you free. In the preface, he immediately eases your mind writing "The fact is that you are never going to get all caught up!" His title is based on Mark Twain's advice of "If the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satsfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long."
3 quick steps to ending procrastination Tracy teaches are:
1 - As soon as you wake each morning, think for a moment of your great big dream. Why are you doing what you do for a living? What are you passionate about?
2 - Next, even before getting up, ask yourself, "What is the single most important thing I MUST do today to ultimately reach that goal?"
3 - Do it FIRST! Eat that frog and enjoy the rest of the day knowing that you're moving in the direction of your goals....and enjoy the ride!
I love to read and will keep you updated on some great tips from the greatest books so that you don't have to read them all. I also would love your recommendations of your favorite read.

OMG! How cool is that? Cheryl Fairbanks on active rain!! KM
Where? Where is she? Welcome Cheryl!
One of these days I plan on attending your coaching... Is that procrastinating?
Hey Sheila - Thanks for introducing Cheryl. I love Eat That Frog! I read it several years ago and still refer to it when teaching! Thanks for sharing and warm greetings from Paradise.
Sounds like a great idea - but there are days where I feel like I ate a frog, a couple of mice and and a few nails but I get the idea.
Keep em coming!!

She hasn't even been on for 12 hours & she's already been re-blogged. Amazing. KM
Welcome Cheryl and thanks Sheila.
I have to mention this. My 13 year old Nephew from India was visiting us not so long ago and when he went back I found a book that he had left behind. It was " It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be" by Paul Arden. I had to read it and loved it. To back track a bit, last year he promised me a new Lexus and my husband a Porsche in a few years. I think he certainly is on the right track to achieving his dream. He asked us so many questions. He wanted everyone's opinion on what we thought was the best way to get there. He plans to work his way to the US and I am sure he will make it big one day. He has a great outlook. Genny
Remember to reward yourself when you accomplish those goals, too. The power of positive reinforcement.
Sheila - I hear the "eat the frog" story almost weekly from my broker. He loves that one. Thought I would stop by and say hello, since I'm always reading your sister's stuff, I thought I should read some of your too.
Sounds like you are not the only fan of Eat that Frog! I will be sure to check it out. Thanks for sharing!
Shelia, I would eat that frog each day but I keep putting it off. :) I never wanted to be a procrastinator so I just keep putting that off as well. :)
That's assuming we ever get out of bed! LOL!
